This isn't really the place to post that; you'd do better to post it down in the DeSoto forum, if you haven't already.
There are probably hundreds of thousands of DeSoto parts out there, you just need to look in the right place. You'd be well advised (first of all) to join the National DeSoto Club http://www.desoto.org/index.php?module=Pagesetter&func=viewpub&tid=1&pid=1 . Car clubs like this are an invaluable clearinghouse for technical and historical information and a great source of parts (through their newsletters and swap meets).
Another good source is national magazines, such as Hemmings Motor News (www.Hemmings.com , on the web) and Old Cars Weekly http://www.oldcarsweekly.com/GeneralMenu/ . Ebay has some amazing things. Just go to http://motors.search.ebay.com/ebaymotors/search/search.dll?GetResult&fmmd=desoto&sofocus=bs&fylo=&fyhi=&fisc=c6028&sofindtype=22&fcl=3&fsop=1&fmt=-1&fsoo=1&frpp=50&satitle=&from=R43 .
Happy hunting! -

Yes, I have some parts on a 40 Desoto coupe that's not restorable. Whatcha need ? Located in southern Indiana, you can have what's left pretty cheap if your not too far away. I would'nt have to pull parts then. Budasking if anyone has or knows of any parts for a 1940 desoto
