Howdy from Kansas City!
I just joined the forum and hope to get lots of valuable information here. I currently have a 1949 Ford F-1 with the 8BA Flathead and Offy goodies, a 1964 Corvette Convertible 327/300hp survivor/driver, and my newest acquisition a bone stock 1956 Chevy 150 235/3 on the tree.
My questions are about the newly acquired 1956 Chevy. I have a 1956 265 V8 engine with 327 internals and fuelie heads, completely reuilt, that a friend is donating toward this project in trade for a motorcycle. I also have waiting a Muncie wide ratio four speed with aluminum bell housing and Hurst shifter. I plan on swapping the V8 and four speed and restoring the car to a mild street rod/driver.
Any obvious obstacles from guys that have been down this road? Also, who are your favorite parts suppliers. I know it's subjective, but this is my first Tri-Five project and I really want to start off in the right direction. Thanks greatly for your time and responses.
