Hudson Art
-
A few weeks back I was doing my routine eBay searches and found this painting under 'Hudson Commodore'. I knew right away from the thumbnail pic what it was. This is a painting of my late grandparent's (Ruth and Dick Royer) '47 Commodore Six. They owned that car for at least 30 years and drove all over going to Hudson meets in that Commodore. The artist copied this painting from a photo of their car that was in the Hudson issue of Automobile Quarterly years ago. I bet my wife is thrilled to have another piece of Hudson memorabilia on her walls LOL!

That's awesome! Congratulate your wife for me, she deserves a little more fine art in the house.

broyer wrote:Nice painting Matt! Luckily I didn't see it on EBay or we would have had a bidding war. I was there at Carlisle, Pa. when the photo for this painting was taken. Your grandma gave me the signed book that it appeared in. Uncle Bill
