34 rear end
-
I have finished rebuilding the 350 in my Hudson Coupe and have increased the HP to 410HP. I'm using a Turbo 350 transmission and a chevy S10 rear end. I don't think the S10 rear will hold up to the torque and I was wondering what type of rear end I could use in it's place. The current Axle is 54" from outside hub to hub. Thanks in advance, Walt

FYI
I have used Ford 9' Rears. They make several widths, have Traction Loc, many Ratios, and strong 31Spline Axles. You can narrow the housing then easil;y re-spline the Axles if necessary because of straight Shank. The newer Ford 8.8 are also strong but have no removable center Pumpkin. Both Rears have a 4.5 Hudson Bolt Circle (and wider Hubs in Trucks)..For a Chart on Make & Model Widths go down a few more Posts to 'Parting out a Hornet" by RAY, then scroll down few Post to find the rear End Link. -
Thanks, I'll check it out!
