Looking for help identifying 33/34 Dodge/Plymouth Coupe
-
Looking for some assistance in "correctly" identifying this car (body/chassis)I have...
I was told...that it is a 33 Dodge....but some tell me 34 Dodge(because of the dash)...others Plymouth 5 window coupe.
The current title(33 Dodge) shows a fairly long VIN....but cannot find it anywhere on the body/chassis...
There is a plate w/ stamped #s on the firewall....and a serial # on the B pillar (9326166)
The body/frame + parts are currently for sale....
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Ash... -
the firewall number is the body number----the vin number is either on the passenger A pillar or the B pillar
my 31 plymouth is on the A pillar and runs 9306XXX
and most car guys dont give out their whole vin numbers----one of my friends had the state patrol auto theft unit seize his 57 chev convt because another similar car was registered 30 miles from his house----they kept his car one year until they determined the other 57 was stolen and had a fake vin plate on it---huffs car had been wrecked really bad and he bought it with a title and stored it in a machine shed for 20 years ---he had just put about$35,000 into the restoration and registered it
he is lucky the guys that noted his vin number hadnt pried it out of the car in those intervening years---bob
