    If I remember the thread correctly, this is the former Hudson body facility, currently occupied by Ivan Doverspike Co.

    I drove by the older factory that is still standing on Mack Ave and would've taken a picture, but it was just too sad, what with the crackhead hooker in front of it and all.

    Detroit looked like it was a beautiful city of industry 40-50 years ago. Heartbreaking now though.

    1953 Hornet sedan Twin-H
    Custom front springs, drop-blocks out back, Clifford 6-2 headers exiting out back shotgun style, Pertronix, and Flames!

    1964 Chevy C-10 Longbed, 396/TH400 lowered just enough and \"easy to touch up\" Black paint.

    2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor
    Caved in quarter and fender. Bad paint. Non-True-Trac heap. But it's paid for.

    I agree;

    Darn shame the demise of a great Automobile, not only for the numerous Firsts in Design, Performance, and durability, that will never again be parrelled by a 6 cyl, not to mention the stepdown unibody design that many cars today utilize........

    Upon completion of this plant in 1928, the demise of the Biddle &Smart body company in Amesbury Ma began. When Hudson built their own bodies they no longer needed to ship by rail bodies from Ma.

    The problem of this plant was in the stepdown era, more cars could be produced that the paint department could paint.

    I held up production the only time when Hudson was a capicity.
