'29 Dodge VIN location?

Does anyone know where to find the VIN on a '29 Dodge 2dr? Were they stamping the frames at this point or going off the engine numbers?

Nick, my 29 Dodge Brothers pick up is supposed to be stamped on the frame under the seat, but I've found out it wasn't always stamped and the engine number was what they registered the car by. I think it was kind of a hit and miss type of situation back then.
