1976 Nova SS Transmission Swap
-
Hi, I have a 76 Nova right now with an automatic transmission. I am trying to find a complete kit to convert it to manual 5 speed. I know Keisler has a bunch of kits but none for this year. I was wondering if anyone knew if any other chevy models like the 70-81 camaro kit would fit in the 76 nova. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. They have kits for the 70-81 camaro, 62-67 nova, 68-74 nova, 64-72 chevelle and a lot more.
Thanks -
You might have a look around the wrecking yards for a Pontiac Phoenix. It was a RWD Xbody like the Nova and came with a optional 5 speed.
Have a look at this site: X Body Nova They show a planed project to install a TREMEC 5-Speed Manual Transmission. Drop them a line.
