I have a 65 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu And Have been having a lot of trouble removing the steering wheel. I have a puller And I Need to get the wheel off to fix the blinkers. I have a column Shifter. How do I get the Wheel unstuck. I bent the bolts on the puller trying to remove it!

Boy that thing is STUCK !! Get you some grade 8 bolts and give it another try. Loosen the nut that holds it on but leave it on the post. Put another nut between the post nut and the puller to protect your wire Squirt a little penetrateing oil on the thing. Tighten it up good and give the center bolt on the puller a whack with a hammer. Check for tightness and repeat process. Bud

I understand What you mean But Yeah I did take the bolt off I also left it on the edge of the post to avoid messing up the thread I used Pblaster as well and I;ve been doing the same for the last week I spray it every day with some oil or other in hopes of getting it off. I think the grade 8 might be a good Idea I think I might have 5's But the threads are getting stripped I think I'm going to have to re tap the hole too.

I got it off with the aid of a friend and an Impact gun.
