66 mustang transmission swap help
-
Hey,
I recently bought a 66 mustang, and I want to do a transmission swap. I was initially looking at the worldclass tremec, but even if i find one out of a 93 cobra, it'd still only be rated at 330 ft lb's of torque; have any of you done this swap, or know some1 who has? is that enough torque (i have a v8 289). I eventually plan on strokering and boring out the engine, as well as supercharging it... but that is all gonna be later. I think a tremec 3650 or 3550 would suit me better. Does anyone know if i will have a terribly hard time installing one of those into my car? I'd appreciate any advice, or links to pages or whatever.
thanks
