350 Stutters
-
Hey everyone. In my 78 Chevy El Camino my 350 is having a little dilemma. When I floor it and shift into third gear(most of the time it is in 3rd gear) my engine dies a little then starts to go again and does that repeatedly for a few seconds. Does anyone know what would be causing this?

If it gets better when you let off the gas pedal, try disconnecting the vacuum advance and see if it still does it. If it does, then you need a pick-up coil.
Keep us posted.

Thanks I tried the vacuum and it still did. Ordered a new pick-up coil. I'll let you know how that goes
