eyes playin tricks
-
Can somebody that knows 1940 Hudson coupes check on e-bay for me and tell me if the pair of fenders there look like they would fit. I think my eyes are playing tricks on me. I keep going in and out of the house with the picture in my hand but I can't be certain. The gentleman says he's not sure what they will fit.
p.s. get back to me real soon though because auctions about to close.
thanks a bunch. -
suggestion: it might help if you could post the URL here, so they could just click on it and go over and see it. Otherwise they have to go to ebay and check through 400 things till they find it. We're a lazy bunch...LOL!

Based on the cutouts for the tailights they appear correct

Here is the link.

Perhaps Uncle Josh can answer your question. He has a '40 coupe.

I wasn't sur about the one on the right side in the picture, but time is runnin out and I'll probally cross my fingers and go for it.

My 40 coupe is model 44 and the wheel cutouts are circular. No 40 cars in Butler's book had the squared off cutouts in 40. I also have a 46 Brougham with the squared cutouts.
Butler shows many 42's with the squared cutout.
I almost missed your thread because I seldom read this discussion drivel. -

DRIVEL?...pFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT:)

Maybe a big shot of antibiotics would cure the drivel, or at least rub some salve on it.

Sorry about the drivel post. I see that guy has re-listed the fender. I emailed him and he's changed it to 42-47

I am not sure what you are referring to on the cut-out shape not beinbg right for 40, but I'll defer there. I do disagree on the 42-47 aplication. 42-47 has the tail lights between the fender and decklid do they not? also 42-47 cars had a partial height wheel opening, the trucks and 41's had the full opening like a 40 but no tail light holes. My 40 coupe is model 44 and the wheel cutouts are circular.
