58 Delray taillight help

Well I'm working on restoring my 1958 Delray and I was putting new bulbs in my tailights yesterday when the the "socket" became loose and i noticed it was being help in place with electrical tape... Soon after i took it out and untaped it, I realized that one of the pegs is missing on the side so it wouldn't stay in place (see second picture w/ the red arrow). I was wondering if anyone can tell me what this part is even called and possibly were i can get a replacement, hopefully sturdier. I'm also interested in rewiring most of my car and would greatly appreciate any information/advice anyone could give me.

or Autowire for wiring harnesses
If yu are handy and can do a little fabrication, you can just go to the auto parts store and get light sockets or pigtails and make them fit. Have you tried E-Bay for complete tail light assemblys? -
Been lookin on eBay for a few months now, and no luck what so ever. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by getting pigtails and making them fit...

If you go to your local auto parts store, tell them that you need the socket that the bulb goes in. You will then have to adapt the socket to your housing.
You may also be able to solder the socket to the housing but you have to have access to the bulb.

www.riwire.com has real good custom harnesses for average prices. But think about finding a real hands-on auto electrician. An experiance guy can custom rewire by hand building a harness as he goes often for less than the cost of a custom harness alone.
Rhode Island Wire's harness form my Packard was $600 and an electrician did it for $450 even here in good old expensive Southern California. -

Just thought I'd let you all know, I ended up just going to a junkyard close to town, and what do ya know? They had the sockets. I got what I needed and they worked perfectly. I also did a little upgrading to LED tail lights that look orginal... I love em. Thanks to everyone that replied and tried to help!
