Car Hauler? You be the Judge!
-

-
Reminds me of the old horse vans where the horses were right in the van with the driver. Kind of interesting when the horses got to fighting.
That sure looks like a tight fit.
Harry -
I would say that's a custom fit!Take a Ride in a Hudson Jet!
-
This rig is like the one a local Potatoe chip manufactuer used, a "chip" step van to haul his Stanley Steamer car.

Dan,tell me that is NOT a Fiat 124?,and if it is,you can't be using the same engine or for that matter,ANYTHING these cars came with?.This set-up looks pretty scary. If it has the Lucas electrical system that Step-van will be on fire too!!! LOL:eek: All kinding aside, looks like someone has spent a great deal of time making a car hauler!
-
Actually, it looks like it doesn't 'quite' fit - The tail end of that car is still sticking out past the doors, which mean that the doors have to be open during transport.
Of course they could always cut a nice big oval into the doors, allowing the rear of the car to protrude through - they might even wire the car's taillights into the sysem, to allow for extra turn signals, stop & running lights... -

Porsche 914... -
I like the added "bonus" of the fact that if you were EVER in a collision hauling ANY car in this rolling-death-trap your legs would get sheared off right below the kneecap ~ that'll happen right before the thin wall tubing the seats are mounted to - breaks and shoots you and the seat out the front window.
I bet this guy had more time and effort into making this monstrosity than if he'd paid cash for a trailer! -
This may seem like a stupid question ,but how does one exit the Porsche after driving {?} up the ramp? Via a window or the roof perhaps? Or is this vehicle pushed up the ramp?

Porsche 914 (the poor-man's Porsche
) had removable roofs, so probably climbed out from top - otherwise I think you'd have to use a come-along or a winch - this is such a low buck effort I'd doubt there is a winch involved...
-
FIAT 124 sedan. A very boxy sedan, at that! Not at all like what is in that van!
