Ol racer, you have a great collection or old race car pictures.
Just thought the Studebacker group might like this tid bit.
The #23 Studebacker, on the front row, driven by Frank Mundy fell back to the 5th place finish.
Herb Thomas, on the front row driving Marshal Teaque's #6 Hudson, won the race.
In 1951 Studebaker won 3 NASCAR Races.
Danny Weinberg, 10/28/51 at Marchbank Speedway l.4 mile paved track.
Frank Mundy, 6/16/51 at Coumbia Speedway 1/2 mile paved track
Third? My quess is Frank Mundy because he had 12 top 10 finishes in 26 starts. Severn or eight were top 5 finishes driving a studebaker.
Have a good day. Lee -
It looks like there is another Studebaker in the race. The car on the inside 4th row looks like a studebaker.
