Vintage 40's Pontiac Picture
-
Thought you'd enjoy a family picture I found. The note on the back of picture states that this is a 1941 Pontiac and that the pic was taken in 1946.

Great picture. I love to see old photos of when my parents were young, or when others post pictures fo their history like back in the 40's.
I'm not good at identifying cars but it looks like maybe an old ford in the neighbors driveway.
I also love the baby shoes hanging from the rear view mirror.
Thanks for posting this.

Neat picture. Baby shoes made me laugh!!
When did dice come to be the thing to hang from mirrors? -
I think that dice was a 50's thing, although I have some hanging from the mirror of my 69 Cutlass.

Dice from the mirrors and raccoon tails hanging off the roadsters.
Isn't it funny on what was put on cars?
What other neat things do you remember that were hung on cars in those days?
A useful item was the flax waterbag that was hung on the front of cars for radiator water and also used for drinking water.
I have one for our 53 chieftain we use for car shows and for filling the window hanging water cooler. -

The photo is actually of my grandmother. My mom wasn't born yet when that pic was taken! :rolleyes:Take a Ride in a Hudson Jet!
