Last week I took my family to Disney World for some fun in the sun. Fortunately, I was able to catch a Hudson meet while I was there. I didn't get to spend as much time there as I would have liked, but my daughter and I did get to see some nice cars and meet fellow Classiccar.com members Jerry Bean and Park Waldrop - nice meeting you both!

Agreed. A sweet little Hudsonette that's undoubtedly the apple of her Daddie's eye...and I bet she knows it.

Thanks guys! Reagan was such a good girl that day. What was to be a 2hr drive from Disney turned into a 4hr drive because of a fatal accident on the Fla Turnpike. In spite of the long drive, she was very excited to see the Hudsons lined up in the grass.

I wish I knew, nobody had any name signs on their cars. I was on such a tight schedule, I didn't get to chat with many HET'ers. It was parked next to Park W's Hornet, he'd probably know.

Matt, How time flies! Your picture of my Grand niece in front of the white 47 Hudson reminds me of your Aunt Wendy. She was about that age when your pap (Dick Royer) bought his black 47. Boy, do I feel old! Uncle Bill

The car does belong to Joe. It is all original and I have to tell you that it sure sounds great when it is running. I had the chance to drop by Saturday and it was a great meet. Lot of nice cars and a lot of nice folks. I did not take any photos but, there was a very nice 1932 Pheaton (all original with great patina) at the show.

Brownie, sorry I didn't get to say hi to you at the meet. I heard someone mention your name as I was leaving, but I had to get my little girl back to see more of Mickey Mouse.

Matt,

Thanks to you and all who came out to our meet. I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to you personally, but my brother and I where cooking the food all weekend, and trying to help out, as my dad was under the weather. We had a good turn out this year and some cars we haven't had in the past. By the way, the 32 phaeton you mentioned belongs to my dad, he has owned it since the 1970's. It has 25,000 original miles. Thanks again to all who came out to enjoy the meet.

Yes, the 29 does belong to Joe. It was a great meet with a lot of very nice cars in attendance. Matt, do you have a photo of the 32 Hudson Pheaton that was there? I loved the car.....

I like her name! When hearing our girls' names, several people have commented on them both being presidential names. We just liked the names Madison (almost 6) and Kennedy (3). So to not only hear another name eluding to presidential namesake, but also knowing you're a fellow Hudsonite, tells me we both have good taste. lol

Joe Stinnet's '29 was owned for several years by Dogwood Chapter founder and current member Duke Marley. I don't recall where Duke got it. And Matt, thanks for dropping by the meet with that incredibly cute daughter!

I either forgot to take a pic of the '32 or I accidentally erased it.

Matt, not a problem. I was a long way from home and since I did not know anyone at the meet, I made an attempt to greet everyone. It was a neat experience to meet so many great folks. I read their names in the WTN but work has kept me from traveling to the various meets across the country. It was fun to walk into a meet as a total stranger and leave as a friend to such great folks. Every one that I met at the meet were so friendly it made me feel right at home. Sue even lined me up for a photograph--hope it did not do any damage to her camera? Sorry that we did not get to shake hands, but that will happen sometime this year because I have plans to attend a few meets East of the mississippi. Almost every car at the meet was new to me as well. There were a few examples that I have never seen before. Yes, it was a great meet!!!
