I don't know if anyone remembers but in the 50's on the original Superman series Lois Lane drove a little Nash Convertible, she was always driving around with Jimmy Olsen, I think the car was a two seater, can someone tell me what model that was please?

    You mean this one?

That would have been an early '50's Rambler. Actually, it had a back seat too. The top rolled up and down on tracks like an old rolltop desk, but the side frame (with the windows and door posts) always stayed put. I think they last made them in '54 but I could be wrong.

That is the one, thank you. great picture. It looks like if says "Rambler Custom" on the fender. Do you know if it has a model name or was it just a Rambler Custom?

Harry, she drove a '52 Rambler model 5221. The thing must have had bad brakes cause Superman was always stopping Lois from going over a cliff by pulling on the rear bumper just in time. The bad guys were always cutting brake lines on the Daily Planet reporters.

    Great phot Jon B

There's a guy around here that has one of these and he brings it out to the local cruise on a regular basis.

I also had a buddy back in the olden days that had one of these. To bad I didn't realize back then how cool it would be to have one now.

    Hindsite 20/20 eh?

Not sure of the makes but I bet they are all American made. I can't see a Honda or Toyota in the bunch. On another note, look at how big Lois's feet are, she should have put holes in the floor board, she could have stopped the car herself with those boats

I look at that photo and it reminds me of my youth where on certain occasions I found myself parked in peoples flower beds.

HARRY, you sound like a freind of mine in my youth. His Dad was a minister, would have to drag him in off the front lawn on Sunday morn before the congregation arrived. Was a terrific piano player," rock-n-rolled " all the hyms. But in the end he did turn to be good guy, Sure gace em a fit till he grew out of it. BUD
