'37 Terraplane Wiper Blades
-
I need a pair of wiper blades for my '37 Terraplane Coupe. The blades are 8 1/4" long.

Jon, I tried Ficken, but they never replied. I guess I'll try again.

Not sure why they didn't reply! They have 'em alright, cost me about $6 + shipping a couple years ago. Nice fresh rubber with the correct 1937 clips to fit your wiper arms.

Ok, Jon, thanks. I'll just give them a call on the telephone next week.

I replaced the rubber in my 37 hudson blades. If you have the ss inserts, remove the insert, then remove the rubber taking care not to damage the insert. Go and get the cut to fit wipers and cut one to fit. remove the rubber from the plastic insert and gently slide the rubber into the ss insert. There you go. The inserts have changes but not the rubber. I have done this for my 37, 46, and 53....works great. it takes a little time but it is well worth it.

I got in touch with Ficken (wiper man) by phone yesterday and found that they have reproduced these blades in 8 1/2" which will work just fine. Got a pair on the way.
