Vintage Jet Picture?
-
This is on eBay right now, with reference to a Jet in the top picture. I think it may be a Jet, but my husband's trying to convince me that it's wide enough to be a Chevy. What do you see in this pic?

The actual auction is at:

Its a Hudson Jet, with a '56 De Soto on its left!
-
Jettin' down the boulevard...
-
56 Merc on the far left next to the DeSoto.
-
c'mon guys there are a lot more cars to identify here, lets see how many we can name...2 chevys behind the jet....
-
The city is Pittsfield Massachusetts, center of town, looking north at the beginning of North Street. Both pictures are same basic view...the building on the left in the top picture is the second building on the left in the bottom picture. Judging from the differences in shadow on the front of the building on the left, these pictures were not taken at the same time of day.
First car parked on left in top picture is a 1949 or 1950 Ford...with a 55 Chevy parked in front of bottom picture...Newest vehicle I can spot is the 1956 DeSoto, dating picture to 1956 for sure, perhaps later, but no proof of that.
Also, the Hudson Jet is BEATING the DeSoto off the line!! The DeSoto looks like it is accelerating fast (rear end squatted down), or else the trunk is full of something heavy. Both cars are quite ahead of the cars behind. I say the little flathead 202 is trouncing the Hemi!! -
Hey you're right! Thats why the Merc just gave up and bailed out!
-
What about the Grey 46 Hudson in the second picture?
