Hey, let's talk about CARS!
-
This place has turned into a dog gone soap opera.
-
tell me about your hudson, what is it, a 48 or 49? how long did you have it for?
-
HudsonGuy,I found a car just like yours a few weeks ago by accident.I was going to the powder coat shop and looked to my right and low and behold,a 49 super sd..I went and did my business at the shop and then came back to check it out!!! When I pulled up it looked somewhat familiar??,sides rusty and wavy, rockers gone about half way back, glass all cracked,4 flats, and a fresh white with red trim paint job. After looking inside of the car,it has no-I mean NO interior,no seats, door panels, dash and of course,NO FLOORS!!! Still it could be worth something for a few parts.Went to the door and got no answer,so I came back later that evening and a gal answered and she said it belonged to her boyfriend and he was going to fix it up to be a showcar! I then asked if he was a member of the HET club and if he was, maybe he should be before he started his showcar project.I told her that I might be interested in buying the car if it was for sale.I left my name and number and yesterday she called and said that it was for sale.I am going over to look at it a little closer, for what reason I don't know, this evening.I'll take some pix of it and have HK post them for me.

Clutch Guy,
The reason you're going back, is because you've got the Hudson virus, and we all know when someone is so infected, you just can't help yourself when it comes to anything Hudson related. In your case, it's even worse....your virus was passed down to you from your parents!
One of the symptoms is that even an old sedan that sounds like a pig with lipstick on it gets you going! But what the heck, it can't hurt to ask about it, right? I know I would. If I catch a glimpse of a Hudson while I'm driving, my first reaction is to lock up the brakes and come to a panic stop!

So TRUE,AND TOO FUNNY!!!! LOLOLOL -
I was in a "Bed, Bath, & Beyond" store yesterday with my girls and with my birthday coming up next week, I gave my gramma a quick call on my cell phone to mention a few things I had seen in the store, since she was wondering what I may want for my birthday. I get off the phone and my 5 year old looks at me and says,"Mommy, I know what you want for your birthday, a Hudson, like Doc Hudson, 'cause Hudsons are your favorite!" I replied," Yes, honey, that would be great!" with a big smile on my face!Take a Ride in a Hudson Jet!

It's a store that sells every kitchen gadget you can think of, plates and silverware, bed linens, interior decor like curtains and paintings, bathroom stuff like vanities and towels, and other nifty stuff... The last place you'd think of for a couple ladies to be standing, talking about Hudsons! Which is another reason I got a kick out of what my daughter brought up, there was nothing there to prompt her to start talking about how much mommy likes Hudsons.
