55 Dodge 4 door Suburban Windshield
-
Looking for advice on installing a 55 dodge wagon windshield. I ordered one about a year ago that was manufactured in 1996. It came with a new gasket. Since I had no experience in installing windshields I had a local auto glass company help me with the install. He was not sure if we needed to install the bottom or top first and as a result you know what happened it cracked at the curve of the glass. I believe he was trying to put the bottom in first when this happened. Anyway I have another windshield coming from NOS that was produced new back in the 60's so I am told. Is there any procedures on installing curved glass on these dodge wagons? Any help would be appreciated.

Find someone who has experience with the old wrap-around screens. If they require you to seek out the correct procedure, DO NOT use them.
