1937 Dodge truck headlights

I got 2 headlight buckets with my '37 Dodge truck, they are the same size and shape but have different mounts and bezels. The truck uses an airfoil shaped mount, one headlight has a ball and socket stud. What was the ball socket used on? Anyone have a bucket for a '37 truck or know of Dodge salvage that might have one?

I have a 1937 Dodge pickup with Bi Ray headlights that use a ball and socket bezel mounting set up. My copy of the 1937 Dodge pickup parts lists showed that Dodge used 2 different types of headlights during the 1937 run: Bi Rays and Rite Ways.

Could you e-mail me any photos and/or headlight shell name and dimensions? I am 99% sure that mine are the originals as the truck has always been in our family and altered in that area (except conversion to sealed beams) since purchase.

My truck has an airfoil shaped mount that bolts to the grill shell with. The headlight bucket has a recessed area with a socket, the airfoil mount has the ball. The other headlight I received has a ball no socket, it's simular to my Model A headlight buckets. Fortunately I've got both airfoil mounts, if necessary I'll fabricate the recessed section and weld it to the bucket.

I've got some 7 1/2 Dia. lenses with a 2 1/4 dish in them if they are the right ones and you need them. Biray and Riteway. They are the same except for the name. No part numbers. Don't know what they fit so measure. Not in the parts biz, clearin out stuff I'm not gonna use that somebody else needs.

This is the headlight bucket that I need, not a lense. Thanks

I understand the imediate question about the bucket. I offered the lenses in case you don't have any,I don't need them.

Here's a photo of what my BiRays look like. They look somewhat different than yours.

I do have a complete set of Riteways in great condition that may fit your truck. If interested, send me a private e-mail.

Don't know what else they may have been used on but the ball and socket bucket is like the 37 Terraplane, also the trim ring

The 2 headlights I have are identical except for the mount, the Terraplane images I've found don't match either of my headlights. What year do you think the one shown in previous post came from?

Here's both headlights, they are the same except for the mounts and one has been converted to sealed beam. Did these come from a Terraplane, Dodge, Plymouth? Both of these look like the Birays in the image, except for the mounts. Also, I sent an email to 1937 Dodge but don't know if it worked, please contact me as I am interested in your headlights.

The pair of black ones---the ball socket,--hole for wire behind the socket,--stainlees steel trim ring --and the shape of the bucket right at the ring are identical to 37 Terraplane,I have one. Have no idea what the 2 you have are for, sorry. If you get a pair with the Terraplane ball/socket Gregg Maroney or Brownie Petersen may have the mounts. Either Gregg or Brownie may even have some buckets to sell
