pertronix question
-
I am considering changing my 54 308 engine to a pertronix ignition. Other people have advised this change on this forum. I would like to know if the fellow on ebay is the place to buy, or is there another place that sells them for Hudson. It appears that the ebay person is the only that specializes in Hudson. So where did the people on this forum buy their pertronix ignition?

Randy and Russ Maas ( http://www.21stcenturyhudson.net/ ) did mine. I highly recommend their service!

I bought mine from my local parts store. The only issue I had was I had to drill the rivets out of the power post on the backing plate. Pertronix says no need to modify the distributor but it is with the Hudson. No big deal and it works fine now that it's in and thanks to the guys on this forum I didn't have to wait to hear from pertronix to finish. They did return my call this morning and told me there should have been a note telling me to drill out the rivets, though there wasn't. Must have gotten dropped in the warehouse. So now I'm chasing carb problems but the electronic ignition works just great and no more points or condenser to worry about.
