57 President Classic hood ornament...whats it worth?
-
My aunt recently asked me if I knew what kind of car this hood ornament came from that my uncle had before he passed away. Well I asked around and was told that it came from a Terraplane but after asking the Hudson guys they said it might be off a Studebaker...and they were correct. Did some searching and found it came from a 57 President Classic (I think).
Any idea how much it might be worth? I thought about putting it on ebay for her. Its in pretty good condition...there seems to be some pitting on it that looks like the size of sand grains. Not sure if that can be buffed out.

I haven't a clue what it would be worth. The President isn't the most popular Stude to restore, but that means the parts are harder to find and someone looking for this piece will pay a pretty penny for it. I usually go on Ebay and search for an item like the one I have and see what they are selling for. If none are currently listed, I will check completed listings to see if any have been listed in the recent past and what they sold for or if they had any bids.
