10-12 bolt disc brakes--cheep
-
this is the pickapart solution for my tightwad friends that want to stay all GM in appearance----use the set up off a tag axle seville/toronado--take the rear caliper--the big caliper plate--master cylinder--prop valve---buy 2 new valuecraft rotors new pads --new hoses
when you take apart your old drum brakes you need to use that backing plate to locate new mounting holes in the big caliper mounting plate--i rotated mine slightly up to get 4 fresh holes--while the axles are out you need to have the flange turned down about 1/16 inch to go inside the new rotor---there you go---from about $100-150 you have an all GM set up----your friends will pester you to help with theirs too---i am developing all kinds of chevy friends even though my primary mopar mission has been discing up 8 3/4 and dana 60 units with lincoln MKVll rear calipers over 96 cherokee front rotors--i have even done a 9 inch that went into a race chevelle----bob
