hey men,,,, my 38 packard coupe, straight 6 has taken up smoking... ole blue oil smoke...... It didn't do this until after I had to replace the double action fuel pump on it......is there any way my refurbished fuel pump can be causing this problem.... the more I drive it, the worse it gets.....Also, I haven't had it long... the man I bought it from, said it had been sitting for years.... thanks

PUMP BEEN SITTING FOR YEARS? My expereince with NOS parts with rubber diapragms in them is let them sit some more !! Better check your oil for gas odor also. If it was the car that sat do a compression test, maybe broken rings or hole in piston.

Don't trust NOS rubber parts, they rot on the shelf!
