Jet Fuel tank sending unit
-
Since Ken Amman no longer carries the fuel tank sender units for Hudson Jets, they are becoming very difficult to find. An alternative is to have my old one refurbished. There Are several venders in 'Hemmings' that offer that service, but none lists their price. And who's to know which one to try for price and quality. Don't want to put a aftermarket one in that you have to bend or modify to work. (A fraction off either way affects performance !) Anyone had any luck with this?

Was searching for info on this topic and found this old post, thought I should recessitate it. What's the latest on sending units and gas tanks?Take a Ride in a Hudson Jet!
-
My buddy at Mac's Radiator rebuilt mine when he refurbished the gas tank. I don't see why he couldn't do it for a Jet. The number is 562-920-1871. Ask for Kurt and tell him that Rob MacKey referred you.

Rob,
Did he rebuild the float or the whole assembly for the fuel level? I do not think the bellows which gives the fuel level in the tank works on mine.
Thanks,
Lance
