I need a pair of stainless trim retainers for the upper/wide strip of stainless for a 52 - 54 coupe or conv. Anybody have a good set they would part with?

I have already tried Bill Allbright, Frank Deluhy and Ken Amman.

    Drop me a line

I have gotten that piece from KGAP before. You are talking about the middle door and fender trim right?

I thought he was talking about the funny curved one that runs around the base of the "roof" it has a double curve, sorta, "C" shaped. and contoured.

K-GAP has the wide stuff for the fenders, doors, the middle of the car.

I have seen this piece come up on eBay once or twice. I think I saw a piece at the Nationals in 04, it got sold. I was thinking, if you could get 4 door pieces, it might get you the wierd curve, but the length (which would be the rear door) might be more of a problem.

Lew, reply, if this is the piece you are looking for, I might have someone in mind that might be able to help.

What I am looking for is the retainer for the wide strip in the middle of the door.

TH problem with the K-Gap stuff is that it is straight and only comes in 1 foot lengths. I have not yet modified anything on this car and I really want to keep it that way. I know, I know nobody will see this but I will know it is there. Call me odd..(which many of you have done in the past) but I think such a rare car deserves to be all correct.

I can respect that thought process. If I had retainer, I would forfeit it to the C-8 convertible, and use retainer from K-GAP instead, just to quantify how nice I think the car is, and how I perceive the car, personally.

Anyway, Lew, sending a PM of a PA contact that you might wanna try. grab your HET roster, and dial away.

    Best!
