Wanted: Mid-20's Chevy Touring car owners in the Maryland area!!
-
Greetings!!
I am posting this for my friend Ross Kimmel with the Maryland DNR. They need a mid-20's Chevy touring car to mock up for the event below. I have a period picture I can email if you are interested in helping out:
November 4 & 5, 2005, the Maryland Forestry Association is having its annual meeting at the Rocky Gap Lodge at Rocky Gap State Park, which is on I-68 about ten miles east of Cumberland. This will be the kick off event for the 2006 forest and park centennial. They are going to have a Theodore Roosevelt impersonator, a Gifford Pincho impersonator, and other appropriate things. A volunteer is supposed to have a ca. 1950 fire truck with hose reel, etc. there and we would like to replicate an existing image of one of the first Maryland State Forest Fire fighting vehicles which was a mid-20's Chevy touring car. If someone can supply the vehicle and period costume, we can supply the Indian cans, backfire torch, rakes, etc., we can replicate the picture. I can't post the picture here but can email it to you upon request.
We can possibly assist with expenses to and from the event.
Please contact Ross Kimmel at the email address below:

Many Thanks!!!!!
