    2007 Eastern Regional Meet
In 2007, "Doc's" Apple Blossom Meet will be the setting for the H-E-T Club's
Eastern Regional Meet. And once again, the charming and historic town of Front
Royal, gateway to the scenic Shenandoah Valley, will be the location. The 44th
annual "Doc's Meet", sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Chapter, will expand to
four days for the Regional. Activities will include the "usuals" (banquet, all-
Hudson car show and flea market, Hudson participation at the large AACA
antique car show in nearby Winchester) as well as a number of special activities.
Plan to make your motel reservation as soon as possible, since the available
rooms fill rather quickly! We'll be planning some interesting and unique events
for this year's Regional, so watch for upcoming announcements in theWhite
Triangle News and check for the latest updates on our website at

This is a worthwhile meet for anyone that is wondering. If you are remotely close, get to it. Although me and Hudsondad haven't been there yet for the weekend, we only get there Sunday, I think anyone that goes will benefit.

I'm hoping that this year we have NO RAIN.....

Yeah, that's why cars have roofs.
    1953 Hornet sedan Twin-H
Custom front springs, drop-blocks out back, Clifford 6-2 headers exiting out back shotgun style, Pertronix, and Flames!

1964 Chevy C-10 Longbed, 396/TH400 lowered just enough and \"easy to touch up\" Black paint.

2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor
Caved in quarter and fender. Bad paint. Non-True-Trac heap. But it's paid for.

Other than it usually being the best meet of the year, you will get to see Lou's 52C8 convertible finally finished.

    you're kidding...

That's worth the trip in itself...

I heard that this is the only correct driveline 52 commodore 8 convertible in the entire HET club. Not to mention that a 1952 commodore 8 convertible is about as rare as it gets, it's worth the trip down. Heck, any 1952 commodore 8 is rare. I guess the only thing that would be less common would be a 1952 commodore 6....

Is this thing going to the AACA meet, for I guess it would be it's first junior? (assuming it's first time out...)

I'd add, you're likely to see an italia or two, before you see a 52 Commodore 8 convertible....

Kinda like a real bonus for a hudnut.....

I'm actually excited after finding this out!

Well, ain't that special! Th car SHOULD be there. (so long as the top guy gets it finished in time) The car should be about done (so long as the stainless gets back in the next week) In any case it is just about done and I'll bring it done or not!!! (so long as it isn't raining) Don't want to turn the body into a tub of water without a top

Doc's Meet The Best Show In Town Most Years There Are More Cars And People At This Meet Than Any Other Hudson Meet But The National Meet And Some Years There More At Doc's Than There

Now While Talking About The Eastern Reagional I Hear That In 2008 They Plan On The Eastern Reagional Meet Being The 3 Days Before The National At The Same Site I Feel That This Is Wrong !!!! We Are Being Robbed Of A Big Meet There Is Going To Be A National Yes So Why Have The Reagional Meet There Too It Should Be At Another Place And Dates

I'll Get Off My Soap Box Now

I would like to shoot pictures of it, pending a "dry" day. I would like to get a good setting, nice background.

    Also, I'm hoping to get a ride in that 51 7X pacemaker.....

I'm bumping this back to the top, because the pre-registration deadline is April 30 (for the various meals and the bus to the giant air-and-space museum).

Last-minute cancellations might make a ticket or two available at the meet, but it's chancy! Best to reserve now!

One of these days, me and Hudsondad are going to get down for all of the activities...

Here's an idea from two "Westerners" - we ( Myself and Matt Royer) were thinking that it would be a good idea to have a persons Fourm "handle" on the name tags. We both noticed that we didn't know other Fourm members unless the topic came up.

We would have met many other Fourm members had the handles been on the Name tags. A cool way to put a face with a "Handle".

It may be too late as your registration forms are already out. Maybe just write them on this time? Maybe the National could come up with a way even now?

Food for future thought and maybe use.

Us Westerners had a GREAT time at our Regional - we are spread out a loooooooooong ways and hard to get a lot together in one place at the same time, given the distance.

Good luck on the Eastern Regional - I'm sure it'll be a good one. Us Westerners are just partial to the West! LOL

    Have a Great Day

Uhhh... I don't think this is a good idea...

I guess I just PO too many people, :o

and there are those that I wouldn't mind finding either,

but anyway, it's the freakin' internet. :p

    Oh well...

If it's any consolation, both the moderators, Jon B and Lew, know who I am....

I think that if you go to a few meets, you find out who is who.

Hudsondad doesn't even walk around with me when we go to hudson meets, just so he doesn't get the same rep I got... hehe...

Hey, at least I get some great pictures for you guys from these meets...

I'd like to shoot some pictures of it, perhaps in a setting with a good background, and the car singled out?

I think with the colors and a fresh restoration, it will photograph well!

    Let me know!

I'll even burn you a CD of the pictures on the spot.

IF you wish your name on the tag, Think I can squeezeeeeee it on. Send me an email at Docsmeet@comcast.net and I'll see if I can get it done.... no promises though. (Send me your name and handle, (you need to be registered to get a name tag)

Chatters breakfast. How about either Friday or Saturday morning? I might be able to find a place. Saturday would make you a bit late for Winchester... but what the heck, the Hudson flea market will be going on at Front Royal anyway. Let me know

Well, I just got a call from the shop which is doing the stainless for my 52...they can't have it to me by the time I leave for Front Royal Wahhhh!! So as it stands now, the car will be there, just a bit less flash on the side. But it will have a top on it.... so a little rain won't keep it home

BY the way, if you haven't sent in your registration, we will have tickets available at the door. However, the number will be limited. so get with us early if you want tickets for the Bus trip, banquet or Friday night social.

Remember, we always have a few surprises at Doc's meet. So check in and see what's up

yeah, if I start the trip now....

Actually, I drove it yesterday and today, and currently got it at my house, waiting for some resto work.

I want to rebuild the front end with what I got (partswise...), fix my leaking wheels (tires go flat... maybe time for tubes...) put the overdrive back in (if and when Hudsondad finds the tranny...) do the clutch, again, and start getting it ready for repaint.

I think I'm gonna start with the rocker panels, do the inside window trim, dash, etc.... door jams, then work on the exterior. I got a lot of block sanding to do, this time around. Not to mention we got to fix the hood.

I wish that I could drive one down someday....

See Ya in Front Royal! I'll arrive around noon or one pm Friday, maybe not in time for the tour, but I will be at the supper in Bluemont.

Is the tour going to stop at White Post Resturations? My Wife and I stopped there back in the mid 90's. I wonder if the skeleton is still hanging out in the Cord.

Hope the weather co-operates, according to my computer search it predicts some rain
