22 Essex Touring
-
OK guys. I might have a lead on a 22 Essex touring plus parts. Car is a driver. Original except one 50 year old repaint and replaced door interior panels who knows how many years ago. Very nice original condition. I'll post pics once I get a chance to take pics of the pics I have.
Where should this car be priced based on the above info and no surprises?1953 Hornet sedan Twin-H
Custom front springs, drop-blocks out back, Clifford 6-2 headers exiting out back shotgun style, Pertronix, and Flames!
1964 Chevy C-10 Longbed, 396/TH400 lowered just enough and \"easy to touch up\" Black paint.
2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor
Caved in quarter and fender. Bad paint. Non-True-Trac heap. But it's paid for. -
The value is what ever you want to pay, I paid 5 k for one 3 years ago that was a nice car, but about 50% apart, 2 years I got one that went for 14k, but was a 10k car . It was a driver after I put tyres on it and good tune up, plus several other minor things. There is one here in Washington Iowa for 5k, but it to is complete but 50% apart. It is mechanically rebuilt and excellent sheetmetal. Generally the value follows what a Model T is worth in similar condition. They are neat cars.

Ok. Sorry about the pics. Tried to take a picture of the ones I have with my camera, but that doesn't seem to be working out the way I had hoped. Will get them to a scanner soon.
The car belongs to Dale Matlock (my grandfather) formerly of Vancouver WA and long time HET member. Was formerly owned by Dave Bollock(?) of NJ. The car was at the 2001 Nats in Seatte.
22 Essex Touring- green body w/ black fenders- driveable if you don't plan on getting anywhere near the freeway. Currently in AZ. Will be willing to trade for nice 53-54 Hornet coupe.1953 Hornet sedan Twin-H

Last time I saw Dale was a few years ago at the Laughlin Economy Run in Laughlin; I think he said he'd moved to one of the Colo. R. towns. Does he still live there? Does he still own it & now wants to sell it? If so he should bring to the Regional in Mesa this weekend.
I've known Dale for a long time, remember he had a '33 T8 sd. with dual sidemounts, & like the '22 E, largely original. He had a LOT of stuff when I visited him in Vancouver but believe he sold a lot of it to Jim ? over in Banks, Ore.
