seat belt lengths for stepdown
-
Does anyone know what length seat belts work best for the rear seat of stepdowns? I will be needing to install at least one for my soon to be born daughter!!!!!!

The 60 " will work with most car seats. (Longer ones won't go tight enough)

for your needs, try to find belts where the fixed end is 8"-10", this will keep the buckle out of the car seat and make things a whole lot easier for the next few years. mine end up in the center of a front facing seat and its tough on the hands. THe backseat of your coupe will really be a chore, the sedan won't be as bad just when you shop and lay things out remember that you'll be climbing back there to get it (and her) buckled in.

Ssnake-Oyl will make anything you want. I just finished install 6 sets in my 53. They had all the mounting hardware, chromed for the front plated for the rears. My interor is green and they sent me a sample kit with 5 different color samples to chose from. great service! just google them and give them a call.

I have one set of seat belts in the back of my '49 sedan. I put them in 30+ years ago to bring my son Matt home from the hospital.
He is 30 years old now and I love watching him drive the car. I also brought my son Greg home in my '37 sedan. Both boys are great kids "adults now" I believe that their first ride in a Hudson had a lot to do with that. After all people tell me that I am a good guy and I came home from the hospital in the back seat of a Hudson too.
Good luck with your soon to be daughter. Maybe you will be lucky enough to watch her drive your Hudson someday.
