Stump Puller
-
I,m still playing with my 40 Packard 120. Shes running great, but is geared so low I could pull tree stumps with her.
She does not have over drive. Can anyone recommend an available rear end gear change. Her top speed is 50 MPH and sounds like I,m going 90. With fuel prices climbing shes getting expensive to get to car meets.
First gear is so low I don't need to use it. I have to shift into second before I get half way thru the intersection.
Or maybe a after market over drive that will work on her.
I'm trying to keep her totally original, so the gear change is my first choice.
I'm NOT trying to drive freeway speeds, just don't want her breathing so hard. It makes her and my wallet cranky.
