Tranny & Adaptor?
-
I am thinking of swapping my tranny in my 38 Dodge RC. Right now I'm leaning towards a T5. What kind of adaptor do I look for; and Where do I get it, and any other equipment to do this? Thanks

Seems no one's got any idea. Sorry but I don't know either...

If you are staying with the stock Dodge engine, you'll likely have to fab something up or have a machine shop fix you up.
Several other posts in this forum list a '46-'48 Dodge/Plymouth website. Your engine is the same as theirs, so you can search the posts here and it's around, you'll have to dig a little. Good luck
PS - Rather than going with a tranny swap, consider going with a Dakota rear axle ('87-'91 five-lug, same as your car has). Lots less expensive, very durable rear end, easy to get parts for, and it'll look 100% bone-stock, plus you'll have a much more highway-friendly gear ratio in the Dak rear."The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot,
And whether pigs have wings..."
