hey guys, i just got a complete universal wiring kit that i am still in the process of putting in all the way. so far all i have done is my engine cavity for the most part, my headlights and my ignition switch. well i managed to get it started and realized that i was missing the wire that charges my battery. my friend tells me that the terminal on the back of the alternator goes right to the post instead of the junction block on the inner fender well. well i put it straight on the post and fired it up and it stalled out on me with a slight pop. when i tried to turn it over again to start it to see if he was right, it wouldn't turn over again, like there was no battery. so then i started by metering my wires. all of my wires read good voltage, but then i metered the ignition switch and noticed a drop in voltage with the key in the on position and in the cranking position. i'm assuming that this is normal. (the ignition switch is one of those universal ones). so my current thought is that i fried my starter solenoid. anyone have any ideas??
