Brake Drum Interchange Anyone?
-
Does anyone know of a modern day brake drum that will interchange on a 59 Lark? It has 9" rear drums that are shot and I'd like to get some new one locally if I can, from a late model brand X. Any input is welcome, thanks.
-
Thing is, those drums should be cheap and easy to find, I believe the interchange is all Lark and Hawk and full-size Stude cars from 1955 to 1966.
But if you can't find one, the next thing to do is take one to a u-pull-it and start looking at Ford and Mopar products with the 5 on 4 1/2" pattern and see what turns up. -
Egads, doesn't that Studebaker parts distributor in South Bend have all of this stuff brand new on the shelf? I thought they had just about everything! No need to fool with interchanges http://www.studeparts.com/
