Ford Fairlane 1959
-
Hi, I really need some help here. I have a 1959 Ford Fairlane 4dr. It is not a Galaxie or Skyliner. It is a 500. Now, the question I have is that when I purchased this vehicle, I got a piece of paper showing what each number/letter meant in the VIN number. It had a V which stands for Victoria. I can not find anything on the internet about this car and everyone I talk to doesnt know. I would like to know exactly what I have and more info, maybe a guess to the price? I have plenty of pictures and I would really appreciate if someone could help me out. Thank you. Here is just one picture.

I am sorry, that is not a VIN number, it is a serial number. The VIN number is 58B-YE2-12-25J-3-1. Here is a few pics of what I have written down.

YE2=(Y)Inca Gold/(E)Colonial White/(2)?

25J=September 25th 1958
3=fordomatic trans.
1=3.10:1 rear end ratio -

Hi ,i Was Hoping Someone Could Identify What Engine Is In This 1959 Ford Fairlane By The Vin Which Reads 454ak59-552355,also On The Door Plate It Say,s M1 For Engine Type
-
VIN no is first line on aluminum plate on L.F. door post or on lock surface of drivers door. it will start out similar to; C9FL- XXXXXXX C= Engine, Motors manual will have this in fo. 9=1959. next two letters are body type & assembly plant. Next is the consecutive serial no for that plant. On V-8 engines 292 has the distributor at rear of engine, 332 & 352 dist is at front of engine. Originally 332 valve covers were green & 352 was blue. All blocks were black.

Looks like a Custom 300 to me. Try asking Terry at Jerry's Classic Cars & Parts out of Springdale, AR. Terry is a wealth of knowledge.

You've got a Fairlane Town Sedan, Victorias are hardtops. Town is 4 dr, club is two door. 292 valve covers were red if memory serves!

Sorry guys I know I'm sorry to bring up an old thread on my first post but I have a 1959 Fairland 500 that I am either going to part out or sell. Its missing the rear end, radio, drive shaft and a few trim pieces.
It has a 332, its an automatic, has power steering.
you can email me or call me for any parts.
Thanks
Chris
