1931 Ford Double Door Delivery for Sale
-
I am posting this truck for sale for a good friend of mine (call to discuss price):
FOR SALEPurchased from Economy Plumbing in 2005, this fine example of Henry's "Working" Lady, is now owned by Jo and Bill Harris, Scottsdale, AZ.
This 1931 Ford, Model A Double Door Delivery was purchased at the end of WWII, by Lee Korman. It was used, by Lee, as a service truck for his new business venture, Economy Plumbing, Ventura, CA. In the late 1950's, Lee's son, Hank, drove the truck to high school and used the "A" as his service truck after joining his dad's company. In the early '60's, Hank retired the truck to storage until 1978.
In 1978 a complete body-off restoration was started and completed, as you see it today, in 1980. The "Double Door" has been driven less than 500 miles in the past 25 years, as it was used as an advertising display for Economy Plumbing.
Believed to have been built at Ford's "Long Beach" facility, in early 1931, this "Double Door Delivery", is very rare. It still contains most of the original body parts, including the wood frame and thin metal skin, as well as running gear. This truck was owned by the same company for the past 60 years.
