HELP NEEDED!! Cam for 8 cyl engine
-
I finally have determined why my oil pressure was gone in my 37 Hudson sedan's 8 cly engine........the gear cut into the cam to turn the oil pump has been worn off.
I dont know what years will interchange but I would take any good used, new or ? cams for the old girl.
Thanks!! -

You can use any camshaft from '34 through to '52. You can also get the offending worm gear built up and re-machined without too much trouble, and it will be better than the original.

HAVE A VERY NICE L8 CAM FROM A 52 COMM 8. EMALIL ME FOR PRICE albrighthudsons@msn.com -
If you need to have yours repaired, I have had Racer Brown to a bunch of work for me on old Chrysler and Porsche shafts. They will supposedly work on any camshaft you send them no matter what it is. Very reasonable too and a great reputation, they've been around forever. The last Chrysler solid shaft I sent them they put a performance grind on it and fixed some other problems and it was $100 flat. 410-866-7660.
