Hudson B Class Drag Car Resurrected
-
This past weekend I spent three days at the Eastern States Nationals put on by the Right Coast Car Club. Set up across from my booth was Old Skool Rodz & Car Kulture Deluxe magazine. I got into conversation with their rep and he told me the magazine is doing a project build on a 53 Hudson sedan that was drag raced b-class. Apparently the gentlemen that raced and owned the car left for Vietnam in 1970 and unfortunatly never made it home. That car had been in a barn up until it was discovered recently. The folks from Ol Skool Rodz/CKD are restoring the car as a tribute to it orginal owner. The car orginally had a 7X motor which now has been swapped out for a Caddy engine. They hope to have the car back on the drag-strip. I will keep everyone updated as I hear more about this.
Cheers

If I remember correct, that is one wild magazine. Not sure if it is a tatoo magazine, a throwback to pulp fiction art, or what.
Definitely, a different magazine to check out.... -
I think I have a recent issue. Lots of rat rods, actually refreshing and some real down to earth (or earthy) guys and their girlfriends. Judging from what they were wearing, it was warm out.

Soooo. . . What are they gonna do with that useless 7X engine they swapped out? I suppose, as a tribute of my own to the unfortunate original owner, I could be persuaded to haul that boat anchor away. . .
