'51 Hornet Grille Assembly
-
 Took the grille out several months ago to work on sheet metal behind it. Now.... question has come up about reinstallation of inverted V-bars. Have four small clips/spacers that are asymetrical and four tapered machine screws that appear to hold bars to the lower and middle louvres. Is this right? Also have two larger clip/spacers that are symmetrical and several shorter bolts, also tapered. Are these perhaps for the grille ornament?
How good is the fit of the V bars to the middle louvre? Fit pretty well at center, but some gap on the fender sides. Don't have a photo that shows a side or 3/4 view of the grille so don't know what is normal.
If you get to Louisiana, I'm the guy with egg on his face.
Thanks!
