I wouldn't be surprised if they just took your core and sent it to Newport Engineering to be changed over...

I bought my electric/w intermittent control from RJ's speed shop and that's what they do...

For those of you looking for the link or contact info for RJ's etc here it is.

    http://www.rjays.com/Newport/Newport-01.htm

Dan remember most of these guys are novice internet users and need all the links they can get.

And when is that Ride going to get back on retro rebuild calendar?

If anyone else has any info for these wiper motors for 41-47 - Dave has more than 5 folks who want one. Maybe we can get a group deal.

Dan if you know these guys maybe you could broker it.

I only dealt with RJ's for the motor - and that was...eh...over a year ago...doh! Here's the scoop - you'll need to send your old motor in so they can get the cable attachement pieces off and installed on their replacement motor. Fairly quick turnaround - I can't vouch for the assembly working yet- I gotta a long way to go before that happens - but it looks good, 12v and I got the optional intermittent setup for another 60-80.00

I really think you could probably go straight through Newport - but I didn't try it at the time.

Rambos Ride is slowly inching back to the front of my list! My old house without a garage sold and closed a couple of weeks ago.

My Bills are now all paid off, money is in the bank for the car AND more important - a down payment on a new place.

Now I just have to go find a property with enough shop space to make me happy! Then as soon as the move happens - the parts are getting ordered and in about 1-3 months they'll be some real action going on the 49 again - you'll all get sick of the updates and requests for missing parts! (I can't wait :D )

there is a company that has an electric wiper motor conversion, go to www.concoursparts.com they have a motor for many brands including hudson. they are about $200, but i don't know anyting about them. the fellow from n.y. has the same numbering system for his parts, so he may buy from them.

Does anyone make a replacement motor for a 6V system?
