'50 Super Six coupe for parts
-
Went and looked at a 50 Super Six coupe today out at my aunt's house for a friend. What I found was not pretty. The soil has built up around the car so far that the frame was almost touching the ground. Finally got a jack under it, and it is too rotted to restore in my opinion. Apparently it went onto the trailer under it's own power to get where it is now. At that time the rear was rotted out under the trunk and my grandfather figured he could cut that off of one of his parts cars and splice the coupe together. Years go by and the car was pushed back further into the woods and ignored, until today.
Long winded way of saying that I know where a 50 Super Six coupe is for parts. Has at least some of the optional Super Six badging on the side, could have all (?). Complete motor and trans, not sure about overdrive. Interior trashed except for one of the back seat pieces, not sure if it is seatback or lower portion. Car will not be able to be moved for a while as many mounds of topsoil have been placed in the only path out. I figure the whole car is worth about $500. Car is located in Vancouver WA (or Portland OR for those not familiar).1953 Hornet sedan Twin-H
