Rear Axle Seal Numbers
-
I need to replace the rear axle seals on my 1949 Super Six Sedan. Anybody got the numbers for them?
Thank you in advance I know I will get a swiff response, because we are HUDSON people. The BEST.
That is why our forums also has more threads than anybody elses. -

The seal for a 48-49 may be different than a Dana/Spicer rear end but something tells me that they will interchange. Anyway here goes: the OEM seal was National 150066 and the most recent interchange I have is for CR 17310 The critical specs are as follows: 1.750" ID x 2.437" OD x .250" thick. See if this is what yours is.Good luck.
