1962 GMC Sierra

Hey everyone. Im new here. Just purchased a 1962 GMC Sierra. Needs some work.. The knobs(being nice) decided to lower it by heating the springs. BOO to them!!! :mad:
Anyways, does anyone know where i can find information about customising this truck? IE what could fit in it, suspension ect... Ive been looking and i have found NO LUCK with the 62 GMC.
Unfortunatly it is NOT in origional condition, so i am looking to modify it into a "Hot Rod" if you will by changing suspension, taking out the 305 with the 1 barrel carb(never seen that before) and putting in an already made Chev 350.
So any Suggestions, sites, pictures, ect that you may have/know of/found would be appreciated!!!
