Ok, how about this. I posted this on the Hudson and Essex Super Six Online Library. A bit out of the norm for this page...but what the heck

Here is a diagram I have posted on my website (diagram courtesy of Park Waldrop), and will probably use for the installation of an OD transmission into my 47 Hudson Pickup.
From what I understand, it was/is for stepdowns, although it is essentially standard. It also includes some notes on the 48-49 Hudsons as well.

If you do a search on the forum, you'll find a few threads on this as well. -
Hi I'd Like To Tell You Of The Short Cut Wireing We Use On Our Over Drives It's Just S Simple Lead Wire From The Ing Switch To A Fuse Then To A Switch Mounted Under The Dash (where You Can Get At It Easy) The A Wire To The O.d. Selenoid You Will Have To Put A Jumper Wire On The Selenoid
With This Wireing You Will Not Have To Rev The Engine Us To Kick Out Of Overdrive When On A Longhill Just Flip The Switch And Pause On The Gas A Second And Your Out Of Overdrive
