Best Head Gasket
-
Well, guys I finally got that "Best" head gasket I bought from Randy Maas installed, and I have to say I'm impressed. For those unfamiliar with my head gasket struggle, I was having a heck of a time sealing the .060" under stock aluminum head on my 308. This gasket solved the problem... not a drop from the seam now. I noticed a smell like burning rubber the first couple of times I ran the motor, and I'm thinking this might have been the vulcanization of the gasket material. The smell has now disappeared, the bolts retorqued a couple of times (cold), and my sealing problem is gone. Thanks, Randy!Workin Stiff
