1952 Custom Hornet - on Ebay -
-
Out of Bakersfield, CA. Says there are transmission problems (?). Lowered, Chevy gille, taillights, etc.. I've asked about pictures of engine compartment & trunk...

From the side in this picture it looks like it has "buck teeth" & "google eyes" -

Got some responses to my questions -
Looks like there won't be any more pictures... "i forgot to take pictures of the trunk under the hood. but i can tell you that the trunk is large with lots of space and in good shape. my son and i cleaned it and primered it. under the hood has also been and primered. it has a straight six with dual exhaust and glass packs.if you have any more questions please feel free to respond any time..."
Here is some additional comments by the seller - "it has a single carb. it has a 12v system. the rear was lowered using lowering blocks the front was lowered by heating the springs."
Lowering blocks = ok, as long as it is done well.
Heating the springs =
Highly unlikely that the springs were properly tempered... -

I've seen Hudsons with the 53 (not 54) Chev grill shell, as well as the grill, installed- supposed to be an easy mod, main thing to do is make the lower front edge of the hood straight, to fit the Chev grill shell. The Chev shell is supposed to be a pretty easy fit the rest of the way around. Can't say as I really liked the looks of it when it was done, though- but use of the grill shell gives you a nice symmetrical oval opening for some other grill- like a late '50's Corvette. I will have to agree that the quarter front view of this car, with the light treatment and protruding teeth, does remind me of Zero from the Beetle Bailey comic strip. -
I like the "toothy" look of this '54 Chevy grill:

Its along the lines of the Desoto, but not as common I think. What do you guys think?

I say "Remington", looks like a razor. The '54 Chev grille, I mean...
