Try this link for New Port Engineering: http://www.newportwipers.com/
They show applications for Hudson: '37-'39 '42-'47 & '48-'54
I don't have any personal experience with their motors but it looks like a pretty nice product. I am thinking of purchasing one for my stepdown.

I've got one of these Newport units on my '49 Super Six. It looks clean and works great, and was a snap to install. You do have to send them your old vacuum motor (which is of course returned) so they can reattach the little cable ends to the new unit.
They also offer two switches. A standard 2 speed, and a (larger diameter) intermittent style. The standard 2 speed is the only one that would fit in my '49 dash, using the stock location, that is. -
thanks all of you i will give it a try Hudaon Dave

I had heard that the 1957 Chevy electric wiper unit will work and is basically a bolt on. Has anyone ever heard this before? I have never looked to find out. I always felt that $200-$250 will buy a lot of Rain X!
